Farewell 2014, it’s been real

The past year turned out to be a very exciting one for everyone here at CyberInk. This holiday, we’d like to touch on a few milestones:

We’re growingNick Kightlinger - CyberInk Web Developer

Nick Kightlinger graduated from Penn State Behrend in May and we promptly scooped him up to be our new web developer. With Nick’s help, the development end of our production has seen very noticeable improvements in efficiencies. Nick’s addition puts our staff amount at 13. His favorite thing about working at CyberInk is the work environment, “I feel very comfortable here”, he says. Welcome Nick.

Lots of launches

In the last year we launched nearly three new site launches per month, a healthy increase over 2013. The largest and most-involved site launch happened on December 17th with the redesigned GoErie.com. 40% faster, improved navigation and an overall graphics overhaul was unveiled to stellar reviews from Erie Times-News/GoErie.com users.

And some others:

New branding

CyberInk’s image had not been updated since before 2002. Duplicating our current logo proved to be difficult. Fitting the thing inside a facebook profile box was simply impossible.

So what did we do to update it? Remove the colors. The new logo is streamlined, easy to reproduce for different settings and really fits in every possible scenario. Let’s just say it underwent some minor cosmetic surgery.

To match the logo, we completely overhauled our website, cyberink.biz with a new fully-responsive design. More image-heavy than the last version, we wanted to kick up our digital identity a bit.

We ate a lot of food and drank a lot of coffeeMug-Shots-005

Each month we hold monthly appetizer days to celebrate the birthdays and other milestones of our coworkers. On these glorious days people bring in food according to the theme that’s decided. Cranberry salsas, dips, bacon-wrapped dates and lots of chips and crackers.

We drank about 500 cups of coffee for the year – that’s a minimum of 5,000 ounces of the good stuff. Our 2:16 coffee ritual is still going strong by those committed to the caffeine.

We won some awards

At the 2014 American Advertising Awards we won two silver ADDYs and two Gold ADDYs. The gold wins went on to the regional competition in New York City.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone, cheers to 2015!
